8U Relay Check‑In Reminder - Our 8U relays will line up immediately after warmups. Any swimmer assigned to an 8U relay must check in with a coach by warmups. If a swimmer has not checked in—and has not previously spoken with a coach about arriving late—there is a high likelihood they will be replaced on their relay. All 8U relay swimmers are expected to be on deck for warmups. If your swimmer does not check in and is not present for warmups, they will be replaced in the relays.

July 4th Parade - CANCELLED

Magnolia Green CHAMPS Shirts - The 2026 Sea Dragon CHAMPS shirts are here! This year’s design celebrates America’s 250th birthday. Shirts ordered by the deadline will be distributed at the pool during practices. Orders are due July 14 at 10 AM for guaranteed delivery before CHAMPS.

CHAMPS Declarations - CHAMPS declarations are open! Time standards for qualifying for CHAMPS can be found here. Swimmers must swim in 2 regular season meets to qualify and achieve a qualifying time. If you are not able to select an event for your child to swim at CHAMPS, that means they have not yet qualified. Be sure to differentiate between the meters times and the yards time. Our pool is a yards pool but every other pool we swim at this season will be a meters pool with the exception of CHAMPS at the end of the season. CHAMPS declarations will close July 14th at 12pm. Declarations must be submitted by that date. There will be no exceptions.

Ages 11-18 years old-7:30am to 8:15am (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri)

Ages 9 & 10 years old-8:30am to 9:15am (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri)

Ages 5-8 years old- 9:30am to 10:15am (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri)

Afternoon Options

Ages 5-8 years old-5:00pm to 5:45pm (Mon, Wed, Fri)

Ages 9 & 10 years old-6:00pm to 6:45pm (Mon, Wed,)

Ages 11-18 years old-7:00pm to 7:45pm (Mon, Wed,)

**There will be NO Thursday evening practice due to the Mini Olympics. Evening swimmers are welcome to attend the Thursday morning practice that corresponds to their age.

FRIDAY EVENING: Ages 9/10 and 11 and older: 6:00-6:45pm

5th Meet - Waveriders @ Magnolia Green (Home MEET) - Information about the Tarrington meet can be found here. Heat sheets will be sent out as they become available. THIS WILL BE OUR FINAL HOME MEET OF THE SEASON AND SENIOR NIGHT.

**Team Photo** We will be taking our team photo at the July 7th meet vs. Waveriders. Swimmers will need to wear their team t-shirts they received with their registration. More information to come. Mark your calendars now! PLEASE HAVE YOUR SWIMMER PICK UP THEIR SHIRT IF THEY HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO.

6th Meet Magnolia Green @ Summerlake (AWAY MEET) - Important Reminder: Declarations for our FINAL meet of the season (Away meet vs. Summerlake) on July 13th (THIS IS A MONDAY) are due by July 9th at 11:59 PM—no exceptions.

Relays

Please let the coaching staff know if your swimmer is interested in being considered for a relay. The Summerlake meet relay will be a medley relay. Please note that expressing interest does not guarantee placement. Final relay selections are made at the coaches’ discretion.

• 8U relays take place at the beginning of the meet.
• 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15-18 relays are scheduled for the end of the meet.
• If selected for a relay, swimmers are expected to stay until their event. Missing a relay without prior notice may affect eligibility for future relays throughout the season. We understand that unexpected situations arise, and some families may need to leave early. If that happens, please notify the coaching staff promptly.

Swim Shop - Don’t forget our swim shop is open all season long! Any items purchased can be picked up at the Midlothian Swim Shop located at 6800 Deer Run Dr. located behind Q Barbeque on Hull Street.

Ribbons & Gold & Silver Caps - Ribbons, and any gold or silver caps achieved at the Waveriders meet and any previous meets will be available for pickup starting Thursday morning (July 9th) during morning and evening practices. If you receive a gold or silver cap and you lose it, a replacement cap is $15. The same applies if you received a regular cap for this season.

Swimtopia App-Download the Swimtopia app and make sure notifications are enabled. We will be using the app to notify of practice changes and any weather related events. Meet information will also be available on the app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PRO VERSION OF THE APP. The free version will suffice for us for the season.
