Week 4 Updates

Thank you to all of our swimmers for staying with us late on Tuesday night for our 1st meet of the season against Harper’s Mill. We appreciate all the volunteers and swimmers! Results have been updated in Swimtopia from the Harper’s Mill Meet. Results have also been posted here.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteer coordinator will be adding more jobs this weekend and will send an email about those jobs and when they open. Any one who worked the first half of the Harper’s Mill meet will receive 2 credits since the first half was over 4 hours. We are working on updating those. Be on the lookout for an email from our volunteer coordinator.

2nd Meet Foxcreek @ Magnolia Green (HOME MEET) - Important Reminder: Information about the Foxcreek meet can be found here. Heat sheets will also be sent when they become available.

****A note about swimmers and their events – Coaches and the clerk of course are not responsible for locating swimmers for their events. This applies to home and away meets. Announcements will be made when events are being called to the clerk, and it is each parent's responsibility to listen and send their child at the appropriate time. Parents are not permitted at the clerk of course or behind the blocks at any point. Designated viewing areas will be available for both home and away meets. Please also keep in mind that final decisions on event selections and relays are at the coach’s discretion.**

Fundraiser Meet: This meet is our fundraiser meet this year. A member of our Sea Dragon family was injured in the line of duty as a Chesterfield County Police Officer a few weeks ago. We will be raising funds for his family during our swim meet. More information to come! Get ready to show up and show out for our Sea Dragon Family. Please see attached flyers.

3nd Meet Magnolia Green @ Hallsley (Away MEET) - Important Reminder: Declarations for our third meet of the season (Away meet vs. Hallsley) on June 23rd are due by June 18th at 11:59 PM—no exceptions. If your swimmer will not be attending, you can decline them for the meet.

Relays

Please let the coaching staff know if your swimmer is interested in being considered for a relay. The Hallsley meet relay will be a free relay. Please note that expressing interest does not guarantee placement. Final relay selections are made at the coaches’ discretion.

  • 8U relays take place at the beginning of the meet.
  • 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15-18 relays are scheduled for the end of the meet.
  • If selected for a relay, swimmers are expected to stay until their event. Missing a relay without prior notice may affect eligibility for future relays throughout the season. We understand that unexpected situations arise, and some families may need to leave early. If that happens, please notify the coaching staff promptly.
