The countdown is on for our first meet of the season this Tuesday, June 9, at Harper’s Mill! The Sea Dragons have been training hard, showing dedication and determination in the pool. We can’t wait to cheer them on and see their efforts shine in competition. A huge thanks to Coach Brad Flynn from SwimRVA for running our Friday morning practices.

INTRODUCING… NESSIE! Our new mascot name is officially in. A huge shoutout to Ethan Wessler for submitting the winning name and thank you to all of our Sea Dragons for voting.

1st Meet - Magnolia Green @ Harper’s Mill (June 9th at 6pm) - Information about parking, warmups, heat sheets can be found here. This will be updated with any additional information. Heat sheets will be sent out when they are available. Remember to bring your own heat sheet to the meet as we do not provide heat sheets. Come with your swimmer's first initial and last name on their back as well as their grid. See attached picture. Please be respectful of the Harper’s Mill pool and facilities.

****A note about swimmers and their events – Coaches and the clerk of course are not responsible for locating swimmers for their events. This applies to home and away meets. Announcements will be made when events are being called to the clerk, and it is each parent's responsibility to listen and send their child at the appropriate time. Parents are not permitted at the clerk of course or behind the blocks at any point. Designated viewing areas will be available for both home and away meets. Please also keep in mind that final decisions on event selections and relays are at the coach’s discretion. **

2nd Meet Foxcreek @ Magnolia Green (HOME MEET) - Important Reminder: Declarations for our second of the season (Home meet vs. Foxcreek) on June 16th are due by June 11th at 11:59 PM—no exceptions. If your swimmer will not be attending, you can decline them for the meet.

!!Fundraiser Meet: This meet is our fundraiser meet this year. A member of our Sea Dragon family was injured in the line of duty as a Chesterfield County Police Officer recently. We will be raising funds for his family during our swim meet. Please see attached flyers! There is an urgent need for blood donations and Magnolia Green is hosting a blood drive on June 11th from 1-6pm at 17301 Memorial Tournament Drive. There are also other locations in our area where you can donate. Please sign up and give if you are able to donate. Let's show up and show out for our Sea Dragon Family!

Relays

Please let the coaching staff know if your swimmer is interested in being considered for a relay. The Foxcreek meet relay will be a medley relay. Please note that expressing interest does not guarantee placement. Final relay selections are made at the coaches’ discretion.

• 8U relays take place at the beginning of the meet.
• 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15-18 relays are scheduled for the end of the meet.
• If selected for a relay, swimmers are expected to stay until their event. Missing a relay without prior notice may affect eligibility for future relays throughout the season. We understand that unexpected situations arise, and some families may need to leave early. If that happens, please notify the coaching staff promptly.

Regular Season Meets All regular season meets are now open to declare your swimmers! Please see the Swim Meet 101 section under Meets & Events on our website to learn how to declare your swimmers.

Swim Clinics - We will be hosting 4 Saturday clinics this year each with a different focus. Signups are limited to 20 swimmers and cost $25 per clinic. Signups can be found here.

Parking Spot Raffle - We will be auctioning off parking passes for each home meet this season. We will begin selling raffle tickets for the FoxCreek meet (June 16th) on June 10th - June 12th during morning and evening practices. Cash or Venmo only.

Swag Shop Items - Bathing suits and any items purchased from the store are in. Please pick them up during your swimmers practice time slot. We also have team t-shirts available that have not been picked up. These shirts will be worn during our team photo. More information to come on the date for our team picture.

Ribbons & Gold & Silver Caps- Ribbons, and any gold or silver caps achieved at the Harper’s Mill meet will be available for pickup starting Thursday morning (June 11th) during practice. If you receive a gold or silver cap and you lose it, a replacement cap is $15.

Swimtopia App-Download the Swimtopia app and make sure notifications are enabled. We will be using the app to notify of practice changes and any weather related events. Meet information will also be available on the app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PRO VERSION OF THE APP. The free version will suffice for us for the season.
