We’re excited to welcome our 2026 Minis into the pool this week! With temperatures warming up, we can’t wait to see our Mini Sea Dragons in action. For practice, Minis should arrive in a bathing suit and bring goggles if they prefer to wear them. Please also pack a towel for when practice is finished. Team suits and swim caps are not required.

Next week, our Mini Sea Dragons will undergo evaluations. If the coach determines that a child should move up to the regular team, the transition is mandatory and not a parental decision—moving up to the regular team is required per the registration agreement. Minis are not permitted to participate in swim meets unless they are moved up to the regular team. Move-ups to the regular team will only happen during the first week of practice.

Practice Schedule for Week of June 8th - June 11th

10:30am to 11:00am (Mon, Tues, Thurs)

4:15pm - 4:45pm (Mon, Wed, Thurs)

Practice Attendance Guidelines

If your swimmer is unable to attend their assigned time slot, they must not join a different session, as make-up practices are not available. There is no need to notify us if they will be absent. We kindly ask that you sit to the side rather than standing behind the lane where your child is swimming. We also ask that you refrain from speaking to the coaches during practice so they can focus on our minis. If you have questions for a coach, please speak to them before or after practice.

Pool & Practice Guidelines

Per HOA regulations, swimmers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the pool. Parents and guardians must remain on the pool deck as required by policy. Drop-offs are not permitted.

Swim Gear Distribution

Swimsuits for those who purchased them will be distributed during practice next week. Please note that swimsuits, goggles and caps were not included in the registration fee—only a team t-shirt. Each Sea Dragon Mini will receive a bag with their shirt on Thursday during their practice time slot.

Don’t forget to add the Mini Olympics to your calendar - July 9th from 5-7pm at the Aquatic Center. More details to follow. 

Swimtopia App

Download the Swimtopia app and make sure notifications are enabled. We will be using the app to notify of practice changes and any weather related events. Meet information will also be available on the app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PRO VERSION OF THE APP. The free version will suffice for us for the season.
