Week 1 Reminders
We are thrilled to kick off the 2025 Summer Swim Season next week.
Our practice schedule for next week is as follows:
Swim Practice Times from May 27th to May 29th:
5:30pm to 6:15pm (Last Names R-Z)
6:30pm to 7:15pm (Last Names J-Q)
7:30pm to 8:15pm (Last Names A-I)
**There will be no practice on Friday, May 30th**
Please attend only the practice designated for your last name. This system helps maintain swimmer safety. If you're unable to attend, no problem—there's no need to notify us. In case of weather-related delays or cancellations, we’ll send an update through the Swimtopia app.
We will update practices for next week based on water temperature
Mock Meet
Get ready for our pre-season mock meets! To accommodate all swimmers, we're holding two sessions:
- One for morning practice swimmers
- One for evening practice swimmers
If your swimmer plans to compete in our first regular season meet at Hallsley on June 10th, it's essential they participate in one of these mock meets. Please sign up now to secure your spot.
Why are mock meets so important? They allow us to record official times without disrupting regular practice sessions. This keeps our training schedule running efficiently and ensures every swimmer is properly placed for the season ahead.
Don't delay—register your swimmer today for their corresponding practice time slot.
Morning Mock Meet – June 3rd (Morning Slot)
- Time: 8–10 AM
- Swimmers with morning practice times who do not have recorded times are required to attend. This includes:
- Swimmers swimming 50 yards for the first time.
- Swimmers in their first year on the team, regardless of age.
- Swimmers without a time listed next to their name.
- If your swimmer already has times, they get the morning off! The mock meet will replace practice for that day.
Evening Mock Meet – June 3rd (Evening Slot)
- Time: 5:30–7:30 PM
- Swimmers with evening practice times who do not have recorded times are required to attend. This includes:
- Swimmers swimming 50 yards for the first time.
- Swimmers in their first year on the team, regardless of age.
- Swimmers without a time listed next to their name.
- If your swimmer already has times, they get the evening off! The mock meet will replace practice for that day.
***If you have questions about whether your swimmer needs to attend the mock meet, please email [email protected]. We will be needing volunteers for both the morning and evening mock meets. Families can receive 1 meet half credit (towards their 3 season total) for volunteering at the mock meet. These jobs will open on May 27th at 6pm. One slot per family ONLY.**
Magnolia Green Swim Shop
We will let everyone know when orders are in and when they will be available for pick up.
Regular Season Meets
-All regular season meets are now open to declare your swimmers! Please see the Swim Meet 101 section under Meets & Events on our website to learn how to declare your swimmers. All jobs for our 6 regular season meets will open on June 2nd at 6pm.
Swim Clinics
We will be hosting 4 Saturday clinics this year each with a different focus. Signups are limited to 20 swimmers and cost $25 per clinic. The breast/fly clinics are geared towards helping swimmers learn the mechanics of the breast and fly stroke - they don’t need to be proficient - just willing to learn. Signups can be found here.
Swimtopia App
-Download the Swimtopia app and make sure notifications are enabled. We will be using the app to notify of practice changes and any weather related events. Meet information will also be available on the app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PRO VERSION OF THE APP. The free version will suffice for us for the season.
Pancake Breakfast
Volunteer spots for the pancake breakfast will be available starting June 2nd at 6pm.Families can earn ½ a credit toward their 3 required for the season. Signing up for 2 slots grants 1 credit, but 2 family members must participate to receive the full credit.
Volunteering
Families can earn 1 full credit by completing 2 social/fun volunteer positions, each worth ½ a credit. The remaining 2 credits must come from meet-related volunteer roles. Per the volunteer agreement signed at registration, families who do not fulfill their 3 meet halves will be charged $150 for each unmet half at the end of the season.
